We need an experienced bookkeeper with the desire to expand into some light office management for our small company. While 80% of the time is around the accounting function, you’ll be asked to grow in other areas such as HR, benefits and light office management.

What we need
We are looking for a bookkeeper based out of our Keller office to handle our internal accounting and deal with basic office duties. We need someone
- Requires some prior experience as bookkeeper, preferably with Quickbooks Pro expertise
- Able to make detail entries and develop their own quality control habits, to ensure accuracy
- Able to provide light administrative and office support
- Able to work with clients, our vendor partners, our internal team members and other third parties
- Comfortable with heavy verbal and face-to-face interaction
- And always looking towards improving our systems, automation and accuracy.
What you’ll do
As our bookkeeper, you will work with our sales and technical teams and our various systems to support accounting, basic human resources and light office management. This includes such things as
- Generate invoices from our automation system to Quickbooks and submit to clients
- Keep accurate financial records and manage account reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Manage payroll processing through our processor, including calculating commissions
- Generate sales tax reports, pay taxes, generate checks for expense reports, conduct end of period processes and related accounting duties
- Help manage DSO and assist with collection calls, sending invoice summaries
- Assist with HR paperwork for onboarding and help administer HR benefits
- Help management reinforce company culture, on our culture committee
- And light administrative tasks such as office management, purchase non-technical supplies and vendor management
After successful completion of onboarding, at least 90 days probationary period and consistently achieving metrics, there is some flexibility in some remote work days.
Requirements
- 3-5 years bookkeeper or accounting experience (Especially AR/AP)
- At least 1 year QuickBooks Pro experience (multi-user implementation)
- Understanding of accounting principles, standards and practices
- Good Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and general computer user skills
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven calendar management
- We prefer a lifelong learner, interested in trying to learn more, expand skills beyond bookkeeping
- Management accounting skills would be helpful, but not required
