A nationwide, fast-growing transportation company is seeking a proficient QuickBooks Online bookkeeper with accounting expertise in payables, receivables, payroll, invoicing, and month-end closing. This opportunity is excellent for local candidates in the Memphis Metro area who want to grow with an established company and contribute to our team's success.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, positively impacting our growth and bottom line. The Staff Bookkeeper will work closely with Management to validate and ensure the accuracy of all financial statements and reporting. This position is responsible for the daily maintenance of the books, financial records, and Human Resources.

Primary activities include:

  • Maintain financial or account records
  • Analyze financial records to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Execute sales or other financial transactions
  • Verify the accuracy of financial or transactional data
  • Administer Payroll and HR program (on-boarding and off-boarding)
  • Calculate financial data and costs of goods or services
  • Reconcile financial transactions and statements
  • Monitor financial information
  • Search files, databases, or reference materials to obtain needed information
  • Match order forms with invoices and records the necessary information
  • Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments
  • Prepare and document financial reports, purchase orders, payroll, payables, and receivables
  • Provide project management for organizational leadership
  • Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
