Job Title: Boilermaker / Structural Welder

Job Location: Plaquamine, LA

Salary: Industry Competitive Rates and Per Diem on Select Jobs

Qualifications:

• OSHA 10
• Preferred Apprenticeship (not required)
• High School Diploma / GED
• 3-5 years as a Boilermaker Journeyman

Job Summary:

• Assist in testing assembled vessels
• Clean pressure vessel equipment
• Conduct inspections and prepare preventative maintenance reports
• Fabricate, install, test, and maintain vats, tanks, boilers, and pressure vessels
• Install auxiliary mechanisms (fittings, tubes, valves, boiler instrumentation)
• Install large structures or boilers into facilities
• Organize and assemble boiling parts
• Read blueprints for dimensions, location, and position

Welding

• Responsible for the design, layout and fabrication of metal framework for industrial buildings
• Cutting, repairing, and assembling of girders, beams, columns, and other building components
• To form complete structure

Weld Test required:

Must be able to pass weld test that may include the following or slightly different. (details will be given at time of interview) generally test consists of Flux core Plate test procedure welded without backing. Plate test vertical, horizontal and overhead. Back grid and back weld. F6 Filler metal This test will qualify the welder with any FC F6 filler metal.
