Description:
The Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners is seeking readers, i.e. graders, to grade the Uniform
Bar Examination (UBE) starting with the February 2023 bar administration. All graders are
independent contractors.

A grader will be assigned to grade one-third of the answers for one of the multi-state essay exam
(MEE) questions or multi-state performance tests (MPT) for both the February and July
administrations of the UBE. The Board pays a per paper fee for grading, which will approximate
$4500 for a July exam and $2500 for a February exam.

*Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed attorney in good standing in Pennsylvania; AND

Five years of legal experience.

*Additional Requirements / Preferences:

Attendance at a Friday through Saturday afternoon meeting that will occur in early March
and early August is required. Travel and accommodations are paid by the Board.

Strict adherence to established deadlines and compliance with security specifications
required.

The ability to operate a computer is required.
