JOB SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for assisting with the supervision of the billing and collections team to ensure that all aspects of the billing department, including but not limited to billing, collections, accounts receivable, tank wash approval and reporting. You will provide excellent customer service regarding billing and collections issues, both internally and externally. This position will contribute and play and integral role in the success of the billing and collections team and the business unit.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work daily with the Billing/Collection team assisting and directing to ensure all billing and portal billing have been completed and accurate.
  • Access banking applications and provide reporting of daily cash to Director Revenue Cycle.
  • Review, validate and post cash through the accounts receivable process accurately per customer remittances.
  • Provide weekly reporting to Director Revenue Cycle as well as Billing/Collection Specialists regarding short paid invoices.
  • Provided reporting to assist Director Revenue Cycle with weekly BBC reporting.
  • Work weekly with assisting/directing Billing/Collection Specialists to ensure all portal billing has been completed and accurate.
  • Must communicate & follow up effectively with sales, operations, or any other relevant party regarding rate discrepancies, portal billing and balance due issues.
  • Research and complete credit/rebills or write offs as well as validating and submitting customer refunds.
  • Identify issues causing billing delays and/or errors and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Billing and Collections Function
  • Interacts and communicates with fellow employees and customers in an accurate, courteous, and professional manner in person, by email, and by telephone


EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of prior Billing, Credit Set Up, Cash Posting or Customer Service experience.
  • Transportation experience using McLeod Software is desired, but not required
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have proven ability with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must possess the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
