Behavioral (Mental) Health Technician Opportunities (BHT/MHT)
Full and part-time positions available. NO experience necessary! Full training program will be provided.
Provo Canyon School, located in Springville, UT, is a 24/7 secure behavioral health treatment center for adolescents aged 13 through 17. We coach, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.

Behavioral (Mental) Health Technician Responsibilities:
Behavioral Health Technicians serve as a positive role model for students while providing close supervision and documenting behaviors. Must be a team player and recognize the importance of this position to positive student outcomes. Will ensure that students are meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, unit activities, education & therapy meetings. Will intervene during student crisis as necessary by using verbal de-escalation skills and other personal safety techniques that you will be trained in. Use positive verbal skills, educate students on appropriate behavior and possible consequences, and enact consequences if needed.
Qualifications
Behavioral Health/Mental Health Technician Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 21 years of age
Excellent Verbal Communication and problem solving skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team
Conflict resolution skills and resiliency in stressful situations
Reliability and dependabilty are a MUST
