Behavioral Health Specialist – Inpatient - Adult Units
Job description
Demonstrates competency with interventions and clinical judgment based on unit population and age specific needs. Delivery of a variety of mental health treatment modalities, including psycho-educational groups, milieu management, and behavior modification strategies. Provides assistance to the primary nurse in management of patient needs and support services for effective completion of daily routine. HS Diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in the behavioral health related field required; OR Associates degree in the Human Service Field; OR Nursing Student who has been accepted and is currently attending an accredited School of Nursing. Analytical and planning and decision-making skills necessary to effectively make accurate and rapid judgments in critical situations. Demonstrates basic skills related to care of psychiatric patients. Basic computer skills required. Full-time day shift; full-time day/evening shift; full-time evening shift; full-time evening/night shift; part-time day/evening shift; PRN positions available.
