We are looking to hire a BPS (Behavior Program Specialist) to support our residential program.
Specific Duties:
- Along with DSI's, manage all behavioral outbursts
- In coordination with Assistant Director of Residential Services, develop new skill acquisition programs.
- Develop Individual Program Plans based on functional skill assessments.
- Write Quarterly and Semi-Annual Reports, submit for review, and ensure that the consumer, Guardian and ISC has signed and dated confirming receipt of IPP by designated date.
- Monitor the implementation of IPP’s.
- Maintain behavioral books, skill acquisition books and records.
a. Replacing data sheets monthly.
b. Filing data sheets
- Recording the occurrence of inappropriate behaviors.
- Review data and ABC sheets to verify that sheets are filled out appropriately.
- Attend Behavioral and other related meetings as requested.
- Review communication log and daily shift notes to verify a correlation between information recorded reflects information recorded on data sheets.
- Review behavioral programs and skill acquisition programs to verify if short term objectives have been met
- Interact with consumers in an appropriate and positive manner, fostering independence.
- Maintain appropriate working schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Cooperate and demonstrate positive attitude with parents, guardians, and vendors.
- Monitor DSI's in the implementation of behavioral interventions assuring that the correct procedures are being utilized.
- Tally monthly skill acquisition data.
- Tally monthly reduction data for recording on Yearly Behavioral Graph.
- Facilitate cohesiveness and goodwill throughout all the homes.
- Train DSI staff in skill acquisition and behavioral intervention techniques.
- Facilitate cohesiveness and goodwill throughout all the homes.
- Provide Behavioral Supports when necessary.
- Report regularly to Director of Residential Services.
- Follow State/Govt. guidelines

Minimum Requirements:
- AA Degree or 3 to 5 years’ experience – experience working with special needs population PREFERRED.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR, minimum 3 years driving experience.
- Accurate documentation and observation skills.
- Ability to perform and complete TEAM training.
- Must have behavior/skill acquisition experience.
- Must pass a background and drug screening and submit a negative COVID-19 test results.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
