ROLE OVERVIEW

Barbacks are primarily responsible for making sure the bartender has everything they need to make our guests bar dining experience delightful. Maintaining the quantity of items needed at the bar by tracking inventory and restocking the bar. They are attentive to our guests and assist with attending to their needs when the Bartender is unavailable.

KEY TASKS

Restaurant Operations

Continuously provide exceptional service to guests by being friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Follows steps of service for the bar area.

Assists and supports Bartender where needed throughout service including restocking of items.

Ensures taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs, or changing out kegs,wine bottles, and liquor bottles whenneeded.

Maintains cleanliness of the bar area including coolers, storage area and trash receptacles.

Adheres to safety and sanitation procedures along with state liquor laws.

Completes assigned side-work to ensure shift readiness.

Communication

Speak with others using clear and professional language.

Effectively listen and respond timely to guest needs.

Additional Responsibilities

Ability to site to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Ability to reach overhead and below knees including but not limited to bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Have the flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Any other reasonable request/duty made by your supervisor.

Key Experience/Education

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

Must be 18 years of age or older

Related Work Experience and Certifications

Previous fine dining experience preferred but not required.

Previous barback experience preferredbut not required.

Food Handlers Certification

Alcohol Service Licensing

Systems Knowledge

Systems Knowledge of Aloha not required but preferred.

Systems Knowledge of Hot Schedules not required but preferred.
