King Kullen is currently seeking experienced Baker. As a member of the King Kullen team, you will be a key element in developing relationships with our customers, focusing on their needs and exceeding their expectations to ensure growth in the department and store.
Baker Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing bakery products to ensure freshness and quality. Maintain a neat and clean work area, handle products and equipment in accordance with Food Safety standards and Department of Agriculture guidelines. Bake and prepare scratch product for the Bakery Cases and displays, rotating product and ensuring code dating procedures are followed. The King Kullen Baker must ensure that care is taken will all special orders to ensure customer satisfaction. The right candidate will possess good communication skills, the willingness to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales. Have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions and possess basic math skills
The Baker must have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the functions of a Food Preparation Worker, which include: Preparing a variety of foods from scratch such as scratch cake making and decorating for showcases/special orders. Be able to bake bread/rolls for morning bake-off, make mix for cheesecake, brownies, handmade puff/Danish pastry, bag mixes and benchwork etc. according to company provided guidelines and/or customer requests. Experience 3 years supermarket in-store or private bakery and preparing baked goods in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
Candidates must be willing to travel. Work hours start early as 5 am. and or later as needed and must be available weekends.
