Title: Azure Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Minneapolis, MN)

Job Descriptions:

The Azure Cloud Security Engineer performs as both a subject matter expert internally on securing the Azure platform and services, leading clients in developing secure architecture, and establishing continuous compliance operations. The engineer will regularly work with general system security mechanisms as well as in more specific areas such as web interface and database security for specific projects. They may also work to integrate or support security systems including SIEM, DLP, WAF, and CASB technologies. The role may work with various roles within an organization while guiding clients through establishing an initial baseline or developing and ongoing security posture on cloud platforms.

• Lead clients through the process of developing cloud-based security policies and corresponding controls to adopt and migrate to cloud-based services.
• Create documentation relevant to the security architecture, posture, and configuration of cloud-based services on the Azure platform.
• Assess and provide recommendations on selecting Identity Providers and other supporting services for cloud-based workloads against security requirements.
• Design and implement supporting security tooling for cloud-based workloads including but not limited to SIEM, DLP, WAF, CASB, SOAR, etc.
• Utilize compliance and trust documentation tools to define and track an organization or workload's compliance against policies/controls.
• Plan and implement Identity and Access Management as well as RBAC provisioning on Azure.

Key Skills:

• Experience assessing and securing data in transit and at rest for multi-cloud environments and hybrid environments
• 5+ years of enterprise security experience
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards
• Familiarity with cloud baselines for standard security frameworks
• Familiarity the Azure fundamentals and landing zone concepts
• Familiarity with Azure well architected framework pillars with specialization in the security pillar
• Experience in working with both DevSecOps oriented teams as well as SecOps oriented teams
• Experience and comfortable designing and configuring Azure security services including Azure Security Center, Policy, Sentinel, PIM, Purview, and configurations for Azure components
• Familiarity with threat modeling is a plus
• At least two years of Azure specific experience that revolves around securing the platform and continuous compliance across the Azure security-related services and technologies (general Azure security, storage security, database security, IAM, backup and DR, and networking).
• Experience with Azure Synapse
