Our Automation Engineer is an experienced professional with knowledge regarding concepts, theories, standards, practices and procedures across BAF products and processes with an emphasis on project management Support. The incumbent is a recognized expert in regards to designing control software and hardware on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HMI's, and Personal Computers (PCs), and other computer controlled process control devices.

Competitive Compensation: The expected pay range for this role is between $99,083-$110,115, although a final salary offer is dependent on the candidate's experience level and skill set.

What will you do?

  • Manage project resources, including people, time and budgets to successfully achieve project goals. Effectively communicate project statuses to the Technology Leadership Team and throughout the rest of the organization as appropriate.
  • Accountable for the automation and controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up.
  • Oversee panel design and layout, bill of materials, and wiring schematic capabilities.
  • Oversee the maintenance of programs for PLCs and PCs coordinating with Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Information Technology staff, as well as Production and Maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee the effective systems documentation by following guidelines, reviewing documentation, and recommending improvements.
  • Thorough understanding of BAF's electrical, mechanical, and production process standards. Will follow all local, state and national safety standards.
  • Able to design and implement discrete, continuous, batch and advanced process control topics.

What do you need?

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years related experience is preferred; OR 7 to 10 years of directly related experience.
  • Should have experience with Factorytalk View SE/ME, Wonderware Intouch and Historian, RSLogixs 5/500/5000 software, RS Studio 5000, PlantPax
