A “day in the life” of an Automation Controls Engineer:

• Participate in kick-off meeting with client to develop full understanding of client requirements.
• Consult with client, vendors, application engineers, and production to determine optimum project plan.
• Design and document electrical designs based upon client requirements.
• Develop PLC and HMI code in Rockwell, Siemens, and other various platforms.
• Incorporate ladder logic, servo automation, motors, panels, controllers, and other interfaces as required.
• Ensure new system is fully tested and meets all safety requirements.
• Maintain regular communication and follow-up with production to ensure a quality product is delivered to the client.
• Work on-site at client locations as needed to ensure a successful installation.

What we need from you to be our next Automation Controls Engineer:

• Minimum of Associate Degree in Automation Systems or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HMI/PLC programming with Rockwell or Siemens technology
• Proficiency in Outlook/Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Hold valid driver’s license with ability to drive to client sites
