Automated Bagging Line Operators

Austin Wood Recycling, manufacturer of the Texas Native line of mulches and landscaping products, is seeking individuals to run and operate high-speed automated bagging lines. Machinery is capable of producing up to 26 bags per minute, per bagging line. We are seeking individuals who are mechanically inclined and motivated to join our growing workforce with locations in Austin and Hutto, Texas. Experience is a PLUS but not required.

Job Duties Include:

· Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.

· Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, ink, or labels.

· Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.

· Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.

· Start machine by engaging controls.

· Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.

· Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.

· Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as adjusting belts, tensioners and gates.

· Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pileups, jams, or bridging issues that doesn’t allow product to pass through form, fill, sealer.

· Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.

· Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.

· Monitor and operate machine that packages product.

· Must be able to lift 50lbs or more for an extended period.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be able to work in an indoor as well as an outdoor environment

· Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

· Must be a team player with good communication skills

· Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends

· Must have a reliable source of transportation.

· Bilingual a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
