Overview
We are currently searching for an Associate Veterinarian for our San Leandro, CA office. The successful candidate will provide care to our patients, maintain accurate medical records, and assist in developing and maintaining quality standards. The ideal Associate Veterinarian will have a passion for veterinary medicine, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to learn and work within a team.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide care to all patients of the clinic, examining and diagnosing medical and surgical conditions
- Perform laboratory procedures and tests, including fecal analysis, urinalysis, radiology, and other diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Provide client education on preventative health care, pet behavior, and nutrition
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality standards for the clinic
- Work with the team to ensure a positive patient and client experience
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Proficiency in Veterinarian and Associate Veterinarian
- 0 to 10 years of work experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of current veterinary practices, procedures, and standards
- Commitment to providing excellent care to patients and clients
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
