Position Overview:
The Premier Lacrosse League is looking for a Partnership Development Associate. In this role, you will report to the VP, Partnerships and Media Sales, and you will work closely with our league Partnership Development team to expand our network of marketing and partnership contacts and increase the number of strategic partnership meetings our team is hosting. This position is located in New York, but open to remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Partnership Development team to learn priority industry categories.
  • Within priority categories, employ a variety of prospecting tactics to identify prospective partners.
  • Conduct daily outreach activities via social media, email, phone, cold calling, and other methods.
  • Initiate, schedule, and facilitate customer engagements that may occur via zoom meetings, conference calls, in-person meetings, at PLL events, and other activities.
  • Prepare to communicate ways that the PLL can help achieve their marketing goals during introductory calls.
  • Invite prospects to participate in follow-up meetings that will include additional members of the Partnership and/or executive teams.
  • Update entries and track customer engagement history in current and prospective partner databases in CRM tool (SponsorCX), as well as additional tools including databases and spreadsheets as necessary.
  • Provide daily and weekly progress updates and reports.
  • From time to time, attend PLL games and ensure that prospective and existing customers have a first-class experience.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent phone, written, and listening communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to building a career in sports marketing, partnerships, and/or sales
  • High performance work ethic, ready to embrace and tackle significant goals
  • Ability to communicate passion for brand partnership opportunities associated with the Premier Lacrosse League
  • BA or BS Degree
  • At least one year of professional experience
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as needed

Compensation:
  • Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location
  • $55,000 to $65,000 annually
  • The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
