Position Overview
The Direct Order team’s objective is to create and live out a process that will utilize best in class practices in managing direct ship orders to our customers and the marketplace which exceeds their expectations. This position generates purchase orders for direct shipments to customers and manages the orders through their delivery. Individual will expedite direct orders as needed, maintain good vendor relations, and interface with other departments on issues of product availability and pricing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Utilize ERP system to review and place direct ship orders.
- Review daily open purchase orders to ensure POs are confirmed by the supplier and ensure shipping information is received.
- Manage item details to ensure system is accurate with purchase quantities and pricing.
- Lead all communication, expediting and management of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in supplier returns as needed.
- Provide management with supplier performance feedback on pain points associated with service and delivery and identify those suppliers that are exceling at meeting Envoy Solutions’ needs.
- Communicate with customer service, sales and accounts payable on a daily one-to-one basis. Field inquiries and questions. Resolve urgent and emergency situations. Suggest source on alternative products as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- BA/BS Business: emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Purchasing
- Ability to interface with all departments, particularly sales.
- Work experience in Logistics, Purchasing, or Supply Chain
- Must work 8-5 Pacific Standard Time.
- Must have the ability and tools to work efficiently from home.
