Job description

This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the residents physical and emotional well-being.

Must have a high school diploma.

• Assist residents with personal cares which may include all or some of the following: Shampoo hair, assist with showering, apply lotion, fingernail care, foot cares, medication administration, redirection of confused resident, and other cares as assigned
• Assist with dressing, grooming and oral cares as assigned
• Assist in use of hearing aides and glasses for residents
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Observe resident and report changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.
• Medication administration/assistance as delegated by RN
• Prepare meals in residents apartment following special meal plans if instructed
• Attend in service training as assigned
• Follow cleaning schedule per shift worked
• Monitor and answer life-line call system
• Cooperates with the dining services and provides general assistance with residents meals and clean up; may set tables, serve meals, clear tables and clean dining room after meals
• Maintain daily records
• Assist with emergencies and with safety instruction for residents such as fire drill etc.
• Answers telephone and assists guest

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
