We are looking to hire an Assistant Router to work within our Trucking Division on an overnight shift. Sharkey’s Trucking, Katzman Produce’s Trucking Company, is our direct line to our customers. Our Assistant Router needs to have a problem-solving mentality and are proactive in their approach. We are looking for someone who can adjust on the fly and at the end of the day deliver the best experience to our customers!

While you are here you will:

• Assisting in creation of trucking routes
• Assisting in ensuring routes meet customer demands, factoring in all delivery variables.
• Use of pallet jack to assist in loading trucks
• Responsible for clerical administrative duties, including but not limited to, scanning, answering phone calls, filing, etc.
• Maintain department record-keeping requirements; such as driver daily paperwork.
• Process Pre-trip and Post-trip paperwork with drivers
• Maintain records for vehicle registrations, license tags, infractions, and EZpass accounts
• Monitor and track driver whereabouts on GPS
• Handling driver incoming calls and requests
• Establish excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries and requests
• Maintain & enforce D.O.T. required reporting compliance
• Maintain and initiate safety processes and procedures as required
• Routing and loading trucks
• Have a timely resolution of drivers’ concerns
• Have a good knowledge of the route
• Complete logs and inspections
• Act as a liaison between customer and company
• Correct paperwork completion for every route such as, BOL, Trip Ticket, Return Reasons, etc.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
