Job Summary
The School of Nursing at Radford University invites applications for a Full-Time Tenure Track 12-month Assistant Professor position at the Radford University- RUC location in Roanoke, Virginia. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service with expectations of recent clinical practice. OB/ GYN experience is required. Prior experience teaching Nursing in the classroom, the skills laboratory, the health assessment laboratory, online, and in clinical settings is desired. This position requires clinical teaching in addition to lecture responsibilities. Preference will be given to those applicants with the education, certification, extensive leadership and clinical experience, and the desire to teach in the classroom and in the clinical setting for the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Physical Demands

Required Qualifications
Doctorate in Nursing or both MSN and doctorate in related discipline (PhD or EdD), or ABD status in final stage of degree completion. ABD candidates would be hired at a rank of Instructor until the doctorate is complete. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. Experience in OB/ GYN is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to those with the education, experience, certification and desire to teach subject matter determined by the SON . Recent clinical experience desired. Prior teaching experience in the classroom, online, the skill laboratory, the health assessment laboratory, and in the clinical practice setting is desired.

Education
