Job description

The Teacher Aide is responsible for providing high-level learning experiences to children. Assist the Teacher in the course of study prescribed by the Early Learning Center instructional programs/materials in a manner that meets the spiritual and academic expectations established by ELC Director and principal. A primary responsibility is the development of student competencies and skills to be successful learners.

• Treat matters of school business and student information in a confidential manner.

• Be punctual, trustworthy, cooperative, and work without direct supervision.

• Work well with parents, students, faculty and staff and assist them whenever possible / necessary.

• Be self-initiating, possess excellent organizational skills, see things that need to be done and plan for them.

• Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve learning problems.

• Monitors that parents are checking children in and out.

• Ensure a healthy and safe environment for every child by being alert to hazards, following health and safety regulations and procedures and being a good role model.

• Comply with other duties as mutually determined with the director or principal.

• Able to lift approximately 25 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

• Pre-Kindergarten

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
