Monmouth Park Racetrack, established in 1946 along the Jersey Shore in Oceanport, is one of New Jersey’s most historic and recognizable landmarks. Monmouth Park plays host to world-class Thoroughbred racing May through September and is the summer home to 1,600 horses and more than 2,000 employees.

Responsibilities include:

• Answer phone and respond to inquiries.
• Assist in the drafting and distribution of office communications.
• Processing check deposits.
• Prepare reports.
• Assist with Payroll.
• Maintain confidential information.
• Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned by Management.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays (May thru September).
• Work schedule Wednesday thru Sunday (plus holidays).

Qualifications:

• Ability to learn specialized software package designed for Racing Accounting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook a must.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be skilled in mathematics.
• Work well with others.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Knowledge of Racing Industry helpful (terminology/relationships/procedures).

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma required.
