Assistant Director of Experiential Education – School of Pharmacy
Job description
This administrative and professional position is situated in the Office of Experiential Education, Division of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmacy. The Assistant Director of Experiential Education reports to the Director of Experiential Education and is responsible for managing professional programming associated with experiential education, select continuous professional development courses, and preceptor development and recognition. This position also assists with quality assurances processes and scholarship activities associated with experiential education. Some travel as well as occasional evening and/or weekend work is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Director with the experiential assignment and selection processes.
Manages the experiential rotation reassignment process.
Leads and coordinates application-based rotations for the experiential rotation assignment and selection process.
Contributes to curricular experiential design and development.
Leads the design and delivery of preceptor development programming.
Contributes to the design and delivery of course content associated with the Continuous Professional Development and Experiential Education series of courses.
Assists in the development of inter-professional activities associated with experiential education.
Manages affiliation agreements between School of Pharmacy and all active rotation sites.
Participates in the quality assurance processes associated with experiential education, including on-site visitations.
Performs other duties in support of the Director and Office of Experiential Education as assigned.
Completes other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy or other advanced masters or doctoral degree and will hold an active pharmacist license
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy practice setting, including that of a management and/or supervisory nature, is required
Previous teaching, precepting, and or residency/fellowship experience is highly desirable
The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
