Desired Experience and Education

• Certification by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) preferred.
• If not certified, the employee must obtain a ServSafe certification within 3 months of hire and certification by the ANFP within 1 year of employment, paid for by the facility via contract with employee.
• A Diet Technician, Registered (DTR) will also qualify for placement as a Dietary Manager with the job title of Diet Technician.
• One (1) or more years experience in a skilled nursing environment strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Must be able to lift, push and carry 40 pounds with 2 hands.
• Must also be able to lift, push and carry 20 pounds with 1 hand.
• Must possess leadership qualities and be able to supervise and secure the cooperation of the dietary personnel.
• Must have basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation and food service operation.
