Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) provides comprehensive kidney care and a full spectrum of kidney disease management resources for residents of Southern Nevada. Our care team educates and empowers patients who are living with kidney pain, infections, stones, and other kidney problems. With this exciting opportunity you will be joining a seasoned team of 50 Physicians and Advanced Practitioners, as well as 70+ team members across eight office locations. We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Clinical Supervisor to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Assistant Clinical Supervisor is required to perform all duties of the Lead Medical Assistant and functions as the frontline supervisor to both Lead Medical Assistants and Medical Assistants.
Essential Job Functions:
Employee Management
- Hire, train and coach direct reports
- Manage daily staffing, schedules and time cards
- Performance Management monthly metrics, annual evaluations, progressive discipline
- Participate in regular staff meetings and 1-on-1s
Oversee unsolicited labs
Setup logins (Quest, Labcorp Steinberg, Desert Radiology, Quanum)
Responsible for CLIA inspections, compliance, and training for all employees
Responsible for reconciling lab invoices
Prescription refill oversight
Training new and existing employees
Answer day-to-day physician inquiries
Answer day-to-day MA inquiries
Act as a liaison between management and peers
Assist in supervision of work and performance of back office staff
Assist with clinic scheduling problem solving, patient wait times and other areas of concern to increase efficiency and quality services
Perform other administrative tasks and clinical care as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations, Practice Manager, and Chief Operating Officer
Assist with daily and monthly quality assurance reviews and monitoring
Assure clinics are stocked with appropriate supplies and medication
Assist in arranging coverage as needed
Responsible for supply orders and counts
Responsible for identifying when medical office equipment is due for calibration
Policy and procedure review prior to implementation
Process review prior to implementation
Continuous process improvement
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Must be fully vaccinated for covid-19 by date of hire.
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma required.
Minimum six (6) years of medical assistant experience required.
Knowledge and appropriate use of medical terminology required.
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
Prior experience working in an urgent care or specialty setting preferred.
