As our company continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer for our Ellwood City location to assist with purchasing merchandise for the company to meet business needs.
Duties of the Senior Buyer Include:
- Assist with placing weekly orders to stock our six stores
- Assist with ordering seasonal merchandise, novelty and gift items, and promotional items for sales flyers.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records related to purchasing activities.
- Maintaining vendor relationships.
- Communicating with Store Managers about incoming orders
- Receiving orders and transferring merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
- Working with accounts payable to ensure timely processing of purchase orders and invoices.
Qualifications of the Purchasing Manager Include:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must have one to two years of purchasing experience.
- Must possess a positive attitude and be able to work well in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision to execute a shared vision.
- Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize work load, multi-task, give and take direction, and work in a fast-paced environment to meet quick deadlines and achieve results.
- Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have strong computer skills, basic math skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
