Summary: The Assistant Budgeting Manager is responsible for assisting with preparation of monthly internal budget to actual reporting packages and assisting with the company-wide annual budget process for operating expenses. The role will include assistance with accounts payable supervision and various ad hoc projects, as needed. Prior budgeting experience is key.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the preparation of monthly budget to actual reports.
  • Analyze monthly budget to actual variances and perform root cause analyses to develop resolution recommendations.
  • Prepare month end and quarter end schedules to support various reporting packages to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of budgeting templates and liaise with department contributors to ensure timely receipt of data.
  • Perform general accounting functions to support the Accounting Department.
  • Assist in supervision of Accounts Payable process.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance-related degree.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in budgeting/finance/accounting functions. Previous experience in banking/financial services a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees of all different levels.
  • Excellent organizational and inter-personal skills.
