Asset Protection Manager
Job Summary: The Asset Protection Manager (APM) reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for protecting the assets of BuggyBusters, Inc., while achieving shortage and safety goals for the retail store and DC locations. This position is located at our corporate headquarters 7800 The Bluffs,

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation, training, and coordination of all asset protection best practices.
This includes training all DC and store associates and managers on company Asset Protection programs to ensure compliance.
- Conduct asset protection assessments/Investigations as needed.
- Ensure the physical security of the building and Company assets: complete monthly alarm tests, partner with DHR to resolve alarm and camera system issues, respond to after-hours alarm calls as needed, ensure store and DC alarm system call list is up to date, ensure any key or safe combination changes occur upon changes in management.
- Conduct ongoing Asset Protection training, ensures timely completion of programs; assist with all new- hire training and in-depth training for specialized positions.
- Foster an asset protection avoidance-strong environment that inspires a culture of commitment to shrink reduction.
- Influence, guide, and make recommendations on loss and prevention programs that do not hinder operations.
- Conduct and manage analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly asset protection metrics and reports to identify areas of opportunity.
- Research and respond if asked to cash over/short reporting.
- Partner with Distribution Center Director or Manager to resolve issues involving the flow of inventory shrink to the store.
- Identify and evaluate areas that are causing or could lead to shrink or negatively impact the physical security of both locations structure.
- Manage Asset Protection and assist in maintenance and coordination of physical security programs.
- Identify, promote, and implement physical security best practices.
- Assist with inventory management to ensure integrity within the facility.
- Monitor behavior and report unusual activity.
- Utilize camera system and exception reports to mitigate shrinkage.
- Conduct training and coach associates on work habits that comply with all BuggyBusters and asset protection policies.
- Manage all internal and external investigation programs targeting the reduction of theft and fraud.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years experience at the management level in managing security and asset protection, including significant experience in a retail environment is a plus.
- Possess a solid ability to self-manage, prioritize, and use time management.
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Georgia Criminal Law, investigative and documentation procedures.
- Experience with conflict management/resolution, team development, and team building.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort in communicating with site leaders.
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays).
- Proficient with Microsoft products and working knowledge of camera system.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a timely manner.
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or Loss Prevention
- High school education or GED
- Working knowledge of investigative and documentation procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years experience at the management level in managing asset protection, security and loss prevention, including significant experience in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with asset protection technologies (including camera system and exception reporting systems).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk 8 to 10 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently
- May be expected to lift and reach
Job Type: Full-time salary position
Pay: From $49.5K to 53.5K - Depending upon experience
Schedule: (5) day work week- including some Saturday
