Job Summary
The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Columbus State University is seeking to hire a highly motivated individual to fill the Assessment Coordinator position. This position will support the assessments of effectiveness in these areas by managing all aspects of the assessment plan. This position will also support collaborative assessment projects with campus partners as needed. The Assessment Coordinator reports directly to the Vice Provost and will work closely with campus partners and faculty in academic departments, serving as the point of contact for Academic Program Reviews and non-academic departments’ annual effectiveness reports.
Responsibilities
The Assessment Coordinator contributes to the mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and collaborates with the Vice Provost to facilitate the following Institutional Effectiveness assessments:
- CSU strategic plan assessments
- Executive Leadership Team annual reports
- Deans’ Annual Reports
- General Education assessment
- Academic Program Review reports
- Comprehensive Program Reviews
- Non-academic department annual effectiveness reports
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; the capability to manage complex, ongoing projects; capability to work independently on complex assignments, collaborating with others, and making judgements about priorities; and the capability of using and administering current assessment platforms including Watermark’s Outcomes Assessment Projects, Planning & Self-study, and Taskstream. The successful candidate must also have strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications; the ability and willingness to learn new technologies; excellent organizational judgment and strong abilities to negotiate, seek consensus, and achieve cooperation; and the ability and desire to learn new skills in a self-directed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include one to three years of related experience in a higher education context; a Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Assessment, Evaluation, or similar field; demonstrated expertise with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods; and evidence of ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, administrators, and students
Proposed Salary
The annualized salary range for this position is $43,842 - $53,553 and includes full benefits.
