Moog Spacecraft is seeking an experienced Assembly & Test Technician to support Spacecraft Bus Assembly team in Arvada, CO
Integration and Test. Job function includes utilizing precision tooling and equipment in the assembly and testing of sophisticated spacecraft structures and electronics. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in utilizing detailed instructions and procedures to accomplish assembly and testing of spacecraft featuring delicate components, integrated in confined envelopes.

Assembly & Test Technician’s Key Responsibilities include:
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, structural panels, electronic components, frames, and cables.
- Works from travelers, diagrams and drawings, constructs initial layouts/setups, and uses hand tools, including torque wrenches & torque drivers.
- Measures and records data accurately throughout daily assembly & test processes.
- Prompts & supports required quality assurance inspections.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype and flight assemblies and subassemblies according to instructions & specifications.
- Follows approved assembly and test procedures for component or satellite structures.
- Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs, fixtures or cables, using measuring instruments, following traveler documentation.
- Inspects completed work to ensure that all activities, sequences and instructions have been complete as dictated.
- Works from travelers, instructions and travelers to execute electronic & software testing of subassemblies and fully integrated systems.
- Familiar with test systems and interacting and initiating tests.
- Ability to follow test and setup procedures and initiating tests scripts/software and recognizing fault conditions and reacting appropriately.
- Comfortable shifting between different activities and work tasks
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
- This position requires access to US Export Controlled Information
- 3 years minimum experience assembling & testing complex electrical & mechanical subassemblies & assemblies
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing precision tools & equipment
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively to team members and engineering and quality personnel
- This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
Highly Desired experience:
- Experience in production, assembly and test of aerospace electronics.
- Experience utilizing EGSE & MGSE equipment
- Experience working in cleanroom environments
- Spacecraft experience a plus!
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) a plus!
- Hands on experience a plus!
Salary negotiation starts at $60,000 per year
