Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble custom instrumentation that consist of mechanical assemblies, electrical harness and fluidic interconnections.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and schedule maintenance on instruments.
  • Upon sufficient training and experience with instrumentation, provide onsite service and telephone support of instrumentation and associated peripheral components at customer facilities.
  • This position will provide high level service quality while ensuring compliance with all company policies & procedures.
  • Engage in user feedback, detect part or assembly issues and initiate performance driven engineering changes.
  • Activity documentation, maintain status and traceability of assemblies and parts.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Technical Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of assembly experience building complex electro-mechanical instruments. Experience with assembly of scientific instrumentation preferred.
  • Experience servicing and maintaining instruments preferred.
  • Required: experience using crimping hand tools and basic electrical test equipment for custom electrical harness build and testing.
  • Requires the individual to be a team player and meet challenging, fast-paced timelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to work independently to understand, follow through, and resolve instrument issues and the needs of customers.
  • Travel to domestic customer locations and perform on-site installation or service calls. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Possess a sense of urgency to deliver timely results and resolve issues quickly.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, part/assembly drawings and other diagrams.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred) and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate documentation using good practices

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
