AR Accounting/Admin. Clerk
This individual is responsible for ensuring the company receives payments for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly. The ideal candidate will exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Responsibilities:
· Process credit applications to establish terms for new and existing customers.
· File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.
· Monitor customer accounts to ensure receivables are current.
· Process and mail monthly customer account statements.
· Reconcile customer accounts, research invoice discrepancies, and resolve any issues.
· Prepare, post, and balance bank deposits.
· Remit credit card payments for processing.
· Investigate and resolve questions/concerns pertaining to billing.
· Perform daily/weekly collection calls.
· Review and approve/deny customer orders.
· Update Collection Spreadsheet and Cash Account Detail Spreadsheets.
· Attend monthly meetings with Service and Parts managers to reconcile trouble accounts.
· Complete and post monthly journal entries.
· Clear Accounts Payable checks daily that have cleared the bank.
· Complete monthly reconciliations including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Receivable Clearing, and three bank account reconciliations.
· Prepare monthly journal entries to include open cash deposits and controlled disbursements.
· Assist with various accounting projects as assigned.
· Suggest and help implement continuous improvement projects for accounting.
· Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.

· Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Requirements:
· 3+ years of relevant accounting experience required.
· Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required.
· Random drug testing required after employment.
