Summary of Position

As an Apprentice Controls Technician, you will begin the process of learning an exciting and expanding career by programming, commissioning and validation of I/P based temperature control systems based on project specifications. Using your newly found expertise in the commercial HVAC industry, you will perform installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance service on installed systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensures that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met.
• Provide the expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces as required for projects in accordance with Control Technologies, Inc. standards and contract documents.
• Check out pre- programmed databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers recommendations, in accordance with Control Technologies, Inc. standards and contract documents.
• Instruct customer's personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conversation routines.
• Provide information to update drawings and keep records of equipment for as-built documentation (submit all redlined drafting to application engineers).
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of tech school
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel to jobs.
• Willing to be trained.
• Any knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm & smoke systems, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
• Programming and troubleshooting skills with Distech, Schneider, Johnson Controls and Triduum, and other equivalent systems.
