At 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc., we are seeking a full stack engineer primarily focused on react and nodeJS development with full stack experience. Java experience is a big plus. This individual will be working with a highly productive teams to add to development on our subscriptions and passport team which is in charge of our loyalty membership program and recurring subscriptions for our customers. Someone who is familiar with the scrum process and familiar with working with javascript is highly preferred. Experience with cloud deployment and CI/CD strategies is a strong plus. Experience working with other front end and backend developers and delivering projects on time is a must. Strong leadership skills is a must and experience in customer service teams is a strong plus. Remote work is possible. Leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• This role will be leading two teams with react front end, developing features, and fixing defects.
• This role will serve as part of duty rotation and be on call to help with any emergencies that come with applications.
• This role will work with a scrum team and help deliver high quality and low bug code.
• This role will require attending daily standup meetings, planning meetings, and perform any demos as needed.
• This role will require understanding javascript and cloud deployments.

Qualifications:

• 1+ Years' Experience, and expert knowledge of object oriented JavaScript, specifically Node.Js, and/or React.
• Experience with React, CSS, and Object Oriented Programming.
• Experience with Java is a plus
• Experience consuming RESTful (JSON) web services.
• Experience in Responsive Design.
• Experience designing / maintaining / tuning high-performance code to ensure optimal load time.
• Experience with user interface development for mobile sites and smart device applications.
• Strong knowledge of web security practice.
• Good understanding of Git, source control procedures, and feature branching.
• The right candidate will have an innate technical curiosity, and strong communication skills.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field preferred but not required. Masters or more a plus.
