We are looking for an experienced Application Architect with a high-level understanding of the technology stack and how to leverage new technologies in confluence with existing systems. This is an opportunity to drive the growth and adoption of new technologies and processes into our software ecosystems. In this role, you will rely heavily on your deep architecture knowledge to design and define the future direction of the software architecture, technical framework and software processes by anticipating needs and implementing solutions. This person participates in product designs across multiple teams and projects to help build architecturally stable and scalable solutions. You will work with the internal customers to design business unit applications and workflows often serving as a consultant to management and external spokesperson for the organization. You will also provide architectural input and maintain the stability of the overall platform by ensuring the appropriate design and development standards are used consistently.

Job Duties/Essential Functions
- Exercises technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions.
- Responsible for software architecture including determination of current limitations and compatibilities between subsystems, selection of new concepts and methodology, and development of mission critical enhancements.
- Partners and fosters collaboration with IT, business partners, and internal and external parties throughout the project.
- Gathers specifications from the business units and delivers architectural artifacts that meets the needs presented.
- Mentor Senior Development Leads to and enable them to have impact on their own projects
- Provide guidance and best practices for our software Development Lifecycle.
Analyze and experiment on potential new tools or systems and provide recommendations to senior leadership on the path forward to be current in technology focused perspective. - Opportunity to enjoy the 75% remote/25% onsite policy

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
Required:
- 7+ years’ Object-Oriented programming skills and design pattern knowledge on Service Side Application.
- 5+ years’ expertise with design and development of client-server and/or web-based applications.
- 5+ years expertise with Java technologies and libraries, including Collections, I/O, Networking, Multi-Threading, Reflection and JDBC.
- 7+ years expertise of relational database design and development.
- 3+ expertise with data transmission/exchange standards like XML, JSON, X/HTML.
- 7+ troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly in written and oral forms
- Excellent mentoring abilities
- 3+ years in a technical leadership role/ ability to be a team player as well as an independent performer.
- Demonstrated experience working through the entire SDLC on previous projects
- 10 years of related work experience or equivalent.
Recommended:
- Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
