About the Position:
TJFACT is seeking to hire an Anti-corruption Management Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC.
The Anti-Corruption Management Analyst (referred to as Analyst for the remainder of the document) will serve in a several person unit, reporting to the Team Lead or his/her designee. The Analyst will support the design and implementation of anti-corruption policy, doctrine, and other lines of engagement on behalf of INL and the Department, including in coordination with other Department offices and units. The Analyst will support the Coordinators participation in internal anti-corruption policy processes and coordination mechanisms by gathering information, engaging with counterparts from across INL, the Department, the Interagency, the Intelligence Community, and wider stakeholders. In addition, the Analyst will support the Coordinators external engagements, including assisting in the preparation of remarks and other materials for public engagements. The Analyst will also support efforts to expand INL and Department messaging on anti-corruption, including through supporting the work of the team in developing new partnerships with civil society and the private sector. The Analyst would also support work to support the teams efforts to expand anti-corruption expertise and training within the Department, including engaging with the Intelligence Community and assisting in developing new anti-corruption knowledge products, in coordination with INL Knowledge Management (INL/KM) and other relevant stakeholders. Finally, the Analyst would support the teams efforts to expand the Department and INL strategic and over-the-horizon analysis of corruption and anti-corruption countermeasures, to include research and analysis on new legislative initiatives and responses to Congressional requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Coordinators participation in meetings with Bureau, Department, interagency, intergovernmental, and outside organizations on issues related to anti-corruption.
- Support efforts to cultivate and develop contacts with partner federal agencies, including DOJ, Treasury, Commerce, and the Intelligence Community.
- Assist the Coordinators team in developing and strengthening coordination mechanisms within the Department and support the Coordinators outreach to interagency partners, including Treasury, USAID, Commerce, DoD, and the Intelligence Community.
- Coordinate and develop effective lines of communication within INL, the Department, and with interagency counterparts engaged in anti-corruption programs and other engagements to ensure consistent and complementary approaches based on shared strategic alignment.
- Assist efforts to build partnerships with civil society and private sector to identify and share information on subjects relevant to the topic of countering corruption and promote wider dissemination, including efforts to disseminate knowledge in this field across INL, the Department, and with wider stakeholders.
- Assist subject matter experts in bolstering Department and INLs strategic and over-the- horizon analysis of corruption and corruption countermeasures, including analysis of new legislative initiatives.
- Support the Coordinators engagement with the U.S. Congress on anti-corruption issues, including by assisting on development of testimony, briefings, and feedback on legislative proposals and reporting requirements.
- Assist efforts to expand anti-corruption expertise and training within the Department, in coordination with INL/KM and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support the teams efforts to expand Department public-facing messaging on anti-corruption as a core public diplomacy priority, including contributing to the development of press materials such as press releases, speeches, and social media posts.
Required Skills and Experience
- U.S. Citizen or legal U.S. resident;
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution;
- Two to four years experience in relevant field;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal regulations in regard to area of specific need;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Demonstrated experience facilitating organizational change.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
- A Masters degree in a field related to the primary duties of this position, including but not limited to International Affairs, Political Science, or Public Administration.
- Superior writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
