Job Description:

• The department of Comparative Medicine provides health surveillance, preventative disease programs and daily husbandry and care for all laboratory animals at Client Bioresearch Center. In doing so, the organization helps to assure that properly trained scientists perform all animal model-based research and development conducted at Client Bioresearch Center in a humane, regulatory-compliant, scientifically sound and socially acceptable manner. The Comparative Medicine department provides the scientific support and technical training for research scientists and their groups. The department has primary responsibility for assuring that the Animal Care Program meets the standards for continued accreditation by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) and meets the regulations required for compliance with the Animal Welfare Act (AWA).
• The primary goals of the Technician II, in priority order, are to perform husbandry, dosing and sample collection techniques and to train lower-level personnel on husbandry policies and procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

• Veterinary experience (Preferred)
