Job description
The Customer Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of customer master data (CMD) and the verification and maintenance of customer licensure (e.g., State, DEA, etc.). The Analyst will utilize a variety of systems, including SAP and CRM, and work collaboratively across many business functions and be an integral team member as it relates to CMD analytics, reporting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for timely account creation and maintenance with cross-functional input/communication
- Proactively review and maintain customer licensure, including state pharmaceutical licenses and DEA registrations
- Build and maintain customer hierarchies with cross-functional input
- Assign Class of Trade to direct accounts by utilizing tools, performing research and collaborating with the Government Pricing team, as needed
- Leverage tools and expertise to minimize duplicate account creations, identifying and consulting with others on opportunities to consolidate duplicate records
- Support account creation during special projects, including system migrations, mergers, and acquisitions
- Identify and implement solutions to improve quality, speed and compliance related to customer master data
- Support the delivery of strategic process re-engineering projects that impact business improvement and customer satisfaction
- Participation as an active strategic partner in business decisions and project works teams, especially when master data is involved
- Monitor work queues, prioritizing incoming authorizations and effectively delegating tasks to ensure company standards and contract obligations are met
- Deliver reports and requested information to stakeholders (e.g., auditors)
- Contribute to the development of CMD policies and procedures
- Ensuring awareness of and compliance with master data governance guidelines
- Promote capabilities of department and demonstrate how CMD can add value to all lines of business
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical related industry
- Some direct experience with data management (preferred)
- Experience in SAP ERP, SAP MDG, or other master data management tools
- Experience in pharmaceutical related industry, including some direct experience with data management
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)
- Experience in Vistex, Model N, or other life science revenue management tools (preferred)
- Experience in SAP CX or related CRM systems (preferred)
- Experience building/maintaining customer hierarchies within pharmaceutical or related industry (preferred)
- Experience in Master Data Management (preferred)
- Highest level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Situational analysis/independent thinking
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to analyze complex problems and situations
- Ability to synthesize data into management reports
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills needed in cross-team/user relationships.
- Flexibility to work in a team setting or independently
- Project management and execution experience, both individual and cross-functional
- Strong ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, in-order to work with little supervision
- Some potential travel
