Job description
Responsible for ensuring compliance commitment for Gas Operations and Engineering and Design and Delivery functions, across all Avangrid Gas Companies.
Work close to the business and create the bridge internally with Regulatory, Legal and Compliance staff, and also be the person of contact to Regulatory Agencies.
- Assigns and Coordinates responses to regulatory requests on a timely filing and accurate manner
- Establishes bridge and communication channels with different stakeholders, including Legal, Regulatory and Compliance staff
- Coordinates the development and deployment of proactive self-assessments for compliance risks identification
- Reports and advises on proposed changes on Federal or State regulations.
- Acts as liaison during Regulatory Audits or Field Visits/Inspections
- Participate on recurrent proactive meetings with Regulatory Agencies
- Provide updates reporting to all leadership with potential impacts to Gas Business
- Works in partnership with Gas Operations and Engineering and Design & Delivery teams to identify areas for risk exposure, impact, mitigation and the most effective approach
- Monitors and escalates risks to Senior Leadership
- Defines controls, documentation, and assessment of its effectiveness
- Identifies new and changed compliance obligations to ensure ongoing compliance and evaluates the impact of the identified changes and implements any necessary changes in the management of the compliance obligations.
- Establishes the strategy for PSMS program implementation and activities tracking
- Participates on incident investigations in partnership with the business, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance staff
- Receives, assigns owners and tracks the accomplishment of corrective action plans coming from Enhanced QA/QC department

- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years total professional experience or Associate’s degree and 7+ years total experience
- Experience with Performance Operational/Metrics
- Experience with reporting and tracking deadlines when working across different departments
