We are now hiring at a beautiful apartment community for a Porter / Groundskeeper, Make Ready, Assistant Maintenance, & Lead Maintenance in the Tampa, FL area!

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment industry working with multifamily residential or commercial buildings preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe use with equipment used to perform job duties.
  • Must have an eye for detail, have high work ethic standards, and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and experience with the proper use of standard equipment, tools, and chemicals necessary for satisfactory job completion.
  • Standing, walking and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent climbing balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 25lbs or more.
  • Must be willing to work an occasional weekend as needed.
  • Valid State Issued Driver License to operate motor vehicles on private property.
  • Ensures excellent customer service to prospective and current residents, to promote quality living experiences for all residents.

Porter / Groundskeeper: No Experience is Required, must be willing, open minded, and able!

  • Walk the grounds and common interior areas potentially multiple times a day, removing litter and debris from lawns, planting beds, parking areas, sidewalks, ramps, and indoor spaces.
  • Empty all trash receptacles, water flowers, shrubs, and lawn, occasional de-weeding flower beds, frequently dust, buff, and wash hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and other common exterior areas.
  • Assist in preparing vacant units for occupancy, including cleaning appliances, kitchen, bathroom, and washing tile floors, windows, and all surfaces.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines in the operation of all tools and machinery.
  • Assist with the inspection of vacant units to comply with Make Ready company standards.
  • Assists office staff as needed with posting notices on resident doors, providing excellent customer service to prospective residents and current tenants.

Make Ready - Employee owned tools required

  • Assists in preparing vacant units for occupancy, including: Assists with scheduling, monitoring and performing work orders, as needed, such as painting or carpet replacement.
  • Assisting with inspecting vacated apartments, diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Drywall, Painting or any other related tasks.
  • Will be assisting with work required to complete upgrades as changing plumbing fixtures and installing ceiling fans.
  • Performs work order requests as assigned

Apartment Maintenance Technicians - Must be EPA or HVAC Certified

Lead and Assistant Positions

  • Assists with scheduling, monitoring and/or performing preventative maintenance and apartment turns. Diagnoses problems and repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances.
  • Conduct maintenance-related inspections, including building and alarm systems inspections.
  • Provides on-call service when scheduled and performs emergency maintenance work when required.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in optimum condition.
  • Comply with all company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Communicates with the supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property.
  • 2+ year’s general maintenance experience, previous apartment maintenance experience a plus!
  • Ability to drive others toward maximum customer satisfaction, Strong organization and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Porter / Groundskeeper: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Apartment Make Ready: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Apartment Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
