Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.
We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.
Job Summary:
Western Midstream seeks an Air Quality Representative to join the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment organization located in the Denver, CO or The Woodlands, TX office. The position will focus on air quality compliance programs, primarily in Colorado. Typical job duties include air quality permitting and creating and improving compliance-related processes and workflows.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) to twelve (12) years of experience directly relevant to air quality permitting and or compliance.
- Experience working with and understanding Colorado air quality rules, relevant to the oil and gas industry, is required.
- Experience and technical competence with air quality permitting, applicable Federal and state regulations, reporting, and records management.
- Experience with emission calculations and environmental management systems and databases.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental procedures as they apply to oil and natural gas operations.
- Technical knowledge of New Source Performance Standards, State of Colorado regulations applicable to the oil and gas industry, and Greenhouse Gas Emission calculation methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate and process technically complex, interdisciplinary information.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to provide air quality permitting and compliance program support, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure communication of HSSE expectations for projects and assess against these expectations.
- Develop and submit permit applications and compliance reports.
- Analyze existing and proposed regulations, evaluate potential impact, and develop compliance programs.
- Planning and completing projects and partnering with internal stakeholders
- Direct and manage consultants and contractors
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management systems.
- Autonomously produce results, lead projects, meet goals, and initiate and implement process improvement.
Education:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science, engineering, or industry-related field.
Certification/Licenses:
Valid driver's license with no restriction that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 25%.
Work Schedule:
This position will work Monday through Thursday, 9 hours, and Friday, 4 hours with a week to week office/home rotation.
The pay range for this position in Colorado annually is $71,500 - $172,800; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
