Children's Lighthouse North Center Chicago in Chicago, IL is looking for one afternoon preschool assistant teacher to join our team. We are located on 2600 W Irving Park Rd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

*Provide a loving, nurturing environment for children to learn and play *Supervise, and engage with the students in the classroom *Use games, and activities to teach new ideas with our curriculum *Uphold the DCFS rules and regulations, in addition to the policies and procedures of Children's Lighthouse outlined in the employee handbook *Have fun!

Qualifications

*CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be certified *Background Check/Reference Check *Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills *Flexibility to work between the hours of 7am-6:30pm depending on scheduling *Able to lift up to 35 lbs *Able to stand up to 90% of the day *Able to stoop, bend and sit on a child's level *Able to physically and mentally interact and react to children in the classroom and/or on the playground, and attend to their needs *Dependable *

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.50 - $17.50/hour.
