We are looking for someone with strong computer, administrative and customer service skills to join our Physician Licensure team to provide administrative support. Summary:
The Administrative Support position supports our physician licensing team and is responsible for the completion of all state licensure, work history verifications and assisting with physician correspondence for contracted TeleSpecialists physicians and submitting them to the state medical boards and hospitals. This position ensures all the information in our IT systems is complete and accurate, and all expirable documents are maintained and current.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete the license verification process for contracted and employed physician’s licenses across all states
- Track the licensure verification process to promote compliance, process enhancement, and efficiency
- Assist with the work history verification process and completion for all hospital requests
- Ensure departmental guidelines support all contracted hospital privileges and state licensure processes.
- Track the work history process to ensure compliance with hospital credentialing
- Identify and analyze the physician information received to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the credentialing process by entering/logging/scanning information into credentialing system for initial, updated, and maintenance processes
- Maintains MD/DO Outlook mailboxes by managing inbound emails and using judgment on how to route or manage and filing email records appropriately.
- Prepare “New Physician Packet” for newly contracted and employed physicians
- Ensures leadership is aware of any potential derogatory issues identified during the licensing process and works in collaboration with the Physician liaisons to document/resolve the issue

- Strong computer skills including at a minimum an intermediate Microsoft 365/Office skill level

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physician licensing or credentialing experience preferred
- Experience working in an operational or administrative support role in a healthcare setting preferred
