Classification Summary

Winona County has a vacancy for an Administrative Services Supervisor.

Merit System Classification Summary
Supervise and direct the work of the child support staff and clerical support staff of the agency, provide administrative and program support to other units and coordinate and support to the Financial Assistance Supervisor.

Examples of Duties

Supervise the office administrative and related support staff;
Coordinates and oversees agency office supply and equipment purchases;
Coordinates and provides general agency orientation and training for new staff;
Coordinates agency record retention and destruction procedures;
Serves as agency information privacy specialist;
Completes and submits all required Merit system personnel forms in a timely manner;
Arrange and attend meetings with community organizations, providers and other agencies to coordinate and evaluate services in the county;
Performs work, as assigned by the director, in the area of human service performance management and quality control;
Assists in monitoring and maintaining the purchase of service contracts for the Agency;
Process forms and prepares complex reports, compiles informational materials, carries out assigned research and special projects for the agency;
Assists in the collection of relevant information and data to aid in the community needs assessment and continuous quality improvement functions of the agency;
Arranges and attends meetings with community organizations, providers and other agencies to coordinate and evaluate services in the County and maintains effective cooperative relationships;
Facilitates cross-functional relationships and coordinates efforts to successfully fulfill community service program requirements;
Interprets regulations and assists in managing work assignments and caseloads.

Minimum Qualifications

Minnesota Merit System Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in a human services agency with responsibility for supervision of a major program area such as child support, income maintenance, social services or fiscal operations.

OR

A bachelor's degree in a behavioral science, accounting, business or related field and two years of professional or technical experience in a county human services agency performing work in child support, income maintenance, social services or fiscal operations. Substitution of experience for education may occur on year for year basis.
