The City of Carnation seeks an experienced manger! The ideal candidate will supervise operations, utility billing and will be the City Clerk. This position will lead all Capital Improvement activities including STIP, TIB and other similar planning. The newest member of the City Manager’s Team will be result driven with a proven track record of effective communication, problem solving, and support of the City Manager's Office. This position will lead internal office management with the support of a small team. This positions will be funded through cost recovery and will have to pay for itself within 24 months. Experience in the Private Sector is a plus!

City covers 100% Health premiums Moving expenses if out of WA.
IDEAL CANDIDATE & EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree or B.A and
five (5) years of administrative support experience, including supervisory experience and project management. Grants administration is a must.
Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and or units.
Connections with DOE, WASH DOT, PSRC, Commerce, CDBG, TIB and King County are highly desirable.
City organization, operations, policies, and procedures including utility billing.
City administration processes and procedures, including accounting, budgeting, and personnel rules.
Customer service standards and protocols. Principles of record keeping, records retention, records management, and file maintenance. Contract administration and grants management. Local community resources and regional community issues.
Capital Improvement Project Management Cost recovery experience is a must.
The statutory requirements for the position of City Clerk shall be condition of employment within 2 years.
