What You’ll Do
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing secretarial support in the functional areas of correspondence, data retrieval and compilation, record keeping, communications, confidentiality, and coordinating services for the Engineering Department.
Responsible for managing TMS Work Order system and issuing of work orders. Responsible for maintaining the Environment of Care Manuals to keep the hospital in compliance with all regulations applicable to the Physical Environment. Responsible for issuing of keys to new employees. Orders new signs and responsible for upkeep of Drs. directory for the Medical Office Building.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accurately compose, transcribe, and distribute letters and reports (from rough drafts, marginal notes, verbal instructions, or dictation with shorthand from principals) when requested.
- Screen and direct visitors.
- Assemble reports, draw charts, and prepare handouts and presentation materials as necessary.
- Maintain department Manuals, files, logs and other documentation.
- Maintain and update all hospital safety and EOC manuals for Hillcrest South.
- Responsible for maintaining key log, cell phones, pagers, and Spectra links
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge/Experience: At least two years administrative or secretarial experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
