Due to growth, Tenax, a leading manufacturer of high-end plastics, is searching for a Logistics Administrator in the Baltimore area.
Purpose: We are looking for a Warehouse Administrator to support our Logistics Department in supply chain procedures, from coordinating deliveries to managing shipping documentation. To be successful in this role you should be well-organized and understand the order fulfillment cycle.
Responsibilities
- Based on priority report print sales orders, labels, and pick tickets for all out-going orders (Lowes, Tractor Supply, Amazon, Granger etc...)
- Ability to submit shipments to customer websites while maintaining 100% accuracy with shipping details and time sensitive shipments
- Responsible for quoting shipping rates and determining the most cost effective and timely method of delivery
- Ability to calculate weight based on product amount, weight, and number of pallets
- Attend daily production meetings to understand shipping priorities
- Cross departmental communication. Work closely with the sales team and customer service to print new sales orders
- Communicate shortages with operations
- Responsible for scanning and uploading Bills of Lading
- Manage all shipment-related customer complaints: perform a root-cause analysis to determine if the complaint is justified and instruct teams on how to fix the issue
- Track orders to ensure timely deliveries
- Prepare shipping documents (like invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading)
- Coordinate our supply chain procedures to maximize quality of delivery making sure that all shipments comply with the customers routing guidelines
- Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers
- Provide information to customers about the status of their orders
Requirements
- Work experience as a Logistics Administrator, Warehouse Administrator, or similar role
- Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication skills
- Must be highly proficient in Excel
- Dynamic personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
