Job Overview:
San Diego Organizing Project is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This is an opportunity to assist our staff and volunteers with diverse projects and provide general administrative support.
A successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience, comfort, and confidence working with diverse religious, racial, and geographic communities, and especially with clergy and people of faith
- Knowledge of local political structures, political processes, and community issues. - A racial, economic, and upstream analysis of structural change
- High emotional intelligence; self-awareness, ability to self-regulate, high social awareness, and the ability to create and navigate tension toward the creation of something new
- Ability to plan, organize and meet strict deadlines
- A detail-oriented working style
- Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience editing for correct spelling, punctuation, and syntax
- Experience in workplaces that require frequent collaboration
- Experience with workplace software and browser-based digital tools, including:
- Google Workspace apps (Gmail, Google Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms)
- Microsoft Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Zoom

- SalesForce CRM

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Scheduling and calendar maintenance for SDOP’s senior staff and Board of Directors
- Collate and distribute mail
- Prepare and edit internal communications such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
- Assist staff at all levels with event planning, meeting setup, and implementation
- Assist staff at all levels with data entry and data workflows
Work Location:
- 5011 Holly Drive, San Diego, CA 92113
Language Requirements:
- English fluency is required and Spanish fluency is highly preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- A Part-Time Non-Exempt.
- 5-15hrs/week
- Salary range $20-$25/hr Depending on Experience
