SUMMARY

To help fulfill the Great Commission among South Asians by assisting the Director of Naya Jeevan Project with administrative tasks and projects.

What You will be doing:

  • Manage ministry materials used for outreaches, conferences, speaking engagements of the director and ministry partners. Keeps them organized in storage; tracks inventory and prints or purchases more when needed; packs and unpacks materials for director’s travels; responds to requests for materials and ships materials to ministry partners.
  • Work on three databases for Naya Jeevan, comparing them and fixing discrepancies, entering new information and updating contacts.
  • Coordinate ministry partner communications by calling or emailing those who do not have phone numbers, or whose emails have bounced, or those who have been inactive, to encourage them to be active in ministry, offer our services, and update their contact information.
  • Oversee the printing, assembling, and shipping of notebooks to Love Your Neighbor seminar participants; sets up webinars and tracks registrations.
  • Reformat monthly prayer bulletins from MailChimp to PDF, sends print version to postal mailing list.
  • Assist in creating flyers or other light publicity materials.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements as needed
  • Make purchases on ministry card and clears card charges with monthly expense report.
  • Process check donations for Naya Jeevan to Cru.
  • Assist Naya Jeevan director with general administrative tasks.
  • Attend required Naya Jeevan team and Cru meetings
  • May represent Naya Jeevan at churches and conferences by managing materials table
  • May help to edit video testimonies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a timely and friendly manner
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with others, especially from different cultures
  • Learn and apply policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Plan and organize work, especially recurring tasks
  • Work confidentially with discretion
  • Initiate work independently with little direction or supervision when director is away
  • Use personal computer with intermediate software and other normal office equipment
  • Maintain accurate records and files
  • Perform tasks with close attention to detail
  • Type at least 50 WPM
  • Work a flexible work schedule as needed for the sake of some ministry events on evenings or Saturdays,

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Some college and 2 years work experience in administrative work with some writing and basic document designing preferred. Some ministry and cross-cultural experience, especially with South Asian cultures, is desirable.
