Internet Research and Admin Assistant
(Remote Part Time Position, Independent Contractor)

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, assist with internet research and completing administrative duties. Administrative duties may include helping to organize the website with auxiliary vendors, initiating phone calls to vendors, writing down instructions, learning how my business works. The goal is to help free up time for me so I can continue creating content, training clients, conducting internet marketing, etc. Duties will be relatively small, varied and crucial for smoother operations.

Essential Functions:

• Work independently and sometimes directly with business owner to discuss, plan, research, implement and complete tasks.

Qualifications, Skill, and Abilities:

• Working on the computer, internet research, speaking with others on the phone
• Must be a go-getter in a smooth manner – superb telephone skills, a great listener, detail-oriented with a big mind to help explore ideas at times
• Must be proficient in English
• Working knowledge of some technical stuff related to computers, websites, the internet, some programs, electronic issues like connecting with bank accounts, even helping to set up accounts receivable and payables, etc.
• Actual experience in many of the above is highly desirable, maybe even required
• Must be open to learning business issues to include what’s going on in the world of logistics, supply chain and geopolitical events
• Ability to work unsupervised

Education and Experience:

High school required, community college or vocational studies highly desirable

Work Environment:

Remote and via Zoom at times; once in awhile a personal, face-to-face meeting

Compensation:

Up to $12.00 per hour based upon experience - independent contractor.

Atex Freight Broker Training Inc is a 20 year old, home-based business in the

Zoom/internet, live training business. John Thomas is the sole owner and trains individuals on How to Start and Succeed as a Freight Broker. John plans to expand training options to include Dispatch, Hotshot and Drayage as well as other related training. John plans to begin a bookkeeping service for clients. In his small travel trailer with Roberta (6lb Chihuahua), he floats between El Paso and Hobbs with occasional trips to other exotic places.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
